What is The Sims?
Sims is a simulation game, where you can design, create and build your own people and house. The Sims' motto is "play with life" which that is what the game is mostly about. You get to play with your characters that you have created those are called Sims and make them do whatever you want. This includes customizing their house, making them get jobs, and making them learn skills that will further your Sim in the game. In Sims 3 and 4 you can customize your Sims life from the way they look, giving them different personalities, also designing and building their house.

History Behind The Game
The Sims game is distributed by Electronic Arts or known as EA games, and created by Maxis Software Inc. The Sims started out with the first release of the game in 2000. The game was designed for Windows PC. The concept of the game was created by Will Wright after his house had burnt down and destroyed all of his possessions. He had to rebuild everything from scratch, and this gave him the idea of the game.

Success of Sims
The Sims is one of EA's leading franchises along with Battlefield, FIFA Soccer, Madden NFL, and the popular Mass Effect game. In February 2010 EA announced that the Sims franchise has brought in over 2.5 billion dollars and they have sold more than 125 million copies of various installments. Over the last couple of years EA released some new editions of The Sims game including; Sims 3, various expansion packs for Sims 3, and their latest game Sims 4 which was released September of 2014.

Is This Game Worth Playing?
I would say yes this game is worth play at least the last two installments are, Sims 3 and Sims 4. These too games are both very addicting and you could get lost playing for hours. It's fun to create your own characters and do whatever you want with them. In this simulation game, there are no set rules which gives you the freedom to do anything. The newest game Sims 4 gives you the ability to customize your character into really great detail including facial features and custom traits to give your Sim.
